It is no doubt that Islam is a blessing universal religion in that its Prophet was sent to all humankind of the world, whatever their race, colour, culture, traditions and geographical location, as stated by the Qur'an Surah Al-Anbiya verse 107: WA MAA ARSALNAAKA ILLAA RAHMATAN LIL 'AALAMIIN.
"We have only sent you (O Muhammad) as a mercy to all the worlds."
All different human traditions are respected by Islam, and it does not require new Muslims to change their own traditions unless they contradict some of the Islamic teachings. In other word, any tradition that go against Islamic teachings has to be changed and replaced with a better replacement. Muslims' tradition that are not in accordance with Islam as well as its teachings must not be considered 'Islamic'.
Countless blessings upon us has been bestowed by Allah. He has created everything in the universe for us: the sun, the moon, the heavens and the earth, and some more countless things.
Allah's favours upon us are very great. He has chosen us and made us the best community that has ever been brought forth for the good of mankind. In order to sustain benefiting from such immense blessing, we need to express gratefulness to Allah for bestowing such a favour upon us.
SUBHAANAKALLAAHUMMA WA BIHAMDIKA ASYHADU ALLAA ILAAHA ILLAA ANTA
