The Prophet Muhammad shallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam saw in his dream one that the believers would enter Masjidil Haram and walk around the Ka'bah. The next day he immediately gave this good news to his ummah, since they had migrated from Mecca to Medina with him and supposed that they had not been able to return.

Laqad shadaqallaahu rasuulahurru'yaa bilhaqqi latadkhulunnal masjidal haraama insyaa Allaahu aaminiina muhalliqiina ru-uusakum wa muqasshiriina laa takhaafuun. Fa'alima maa lam ta'lamuu fa ja'ala min duuni dzaalika fathan qariibaa (Surah Al-Fath verse 27).
"Allah has confirm His messenger's vision with truth: You will enter the Masjid al-Haram (the Sacred Mosque) in safety, Allah willing, shaving your head and cutting your hair without any fear. He knew what you did not know and ordained, in place of this, an imminent victory."

The Meccan tribe of Quraysh and the Muslim Community in Medina signed a 10 year-truce c alled Treaty of Hudaybiyah in 628 CE. The Arab tribes were given the option of joining on of these two parties, the Muslims or Quraysh. As a result, Banu Bakr joined Quraysh, and Khuza'ah joined Muhammad. They then lived in peace for some time, but ulterior motives stretching back t the pre-Islamic period, ignited by unabated fire of revenge, triggered fresh hostilities. Banu Bakr, without concern for the provisions of the treaty, attacked Banu Khuza'a in a place called Al-Wateer in Sha'ban, in 8 AH. Qurasyh helped Banu Bakr with men and arms, taking advantag of the dark night. Pressed by their enemies, the trbesmen of Khuza'a sought the Holy Sanctuary, but here too, their lives were no spared, and contrary to all accepted traditions, Nawfal, the chief of Banu Bakr, chased them in the sanctified area, where no blood should be shed, and massacred his adversaries. Khuza'a at once sent a delegation to Medina to inform Muhammad of this breach of truce and to seek help from Muslims o Medina as their allies.

Right after the incident, Quraysh sent a delegation to Muhammad, petitioning to maintain the treaty with the Muslims and offering material compensation. The Muslim forces had gathered in strength t settle account with Quraysh and for the final attack and the opening of Meca. On the eve of the opening, Abu Sufyan adopted Islam. When asked by Muhammad, he conceded that the Meccan gods had proved powerless and that there was indeed 'no god but Allah', the first part of the Islamic confession of aith. In turn, Muhammad declared Abu Sufyan's house a sanctuary because he was the present chief, and that all th others were gathered over his territory.

When Sa'ad passed by Abu Sufyan with th banner of the Prophet on the day Mecca was liberated, he announced, "O Abu Sufyan! Today is a day of slaghter! Today the unlawful will be lawful! Today Allah wll disgrace the Quraish! So the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad shallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "O Abu sufyan, today is a day of mercy. Today Allah will honor the Quraysh."

Such a great history had been made by over 10,000 Muslims who liberated Mecca in a very peace situation. TAKBIR, TAHLIL, TAHMID, reverberated in the sky of Mecca.

SUBHAANAKALLAAHUMMA WA BI HAMDIKA ASYHAU ALLAA ILAAHA ILLAA ANTA ASTAGHFIRUKA WA ATUUBU ILAIKA.
